Dallas Founder Feature: Caroline & Marisa from Casamia

This week we are highlighting Caroline and Marisa, the founders behind our Dallas store Casamia: a local store specializing in curating everyday tablescapes and table decor to help our Party People host seamlessly. All you have to do is RSVP to the party!

Keep reading for what inspired them to start their business, the meaning behind their name, and some of their favorite gifts to give!

What inspired you to start your own business?

We started Casamia to deliver thoughtful and playful entertaining packages to bring joy to people’s homes. Our goal is to make hosting more fun, and less stressful!

The meaning behind your business’s name?

Casa mia is Italian for “my home” which we thought wholeheartedly supported our mission of bringing happiness to people’s home in a thoughtful way.

What is the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?

Marisa – I was in Italy and fell in love with these glasses but didn’t want to carry them around the rest of my trip. I mentioned them to my mother in law and months later she surprised me with the glasses for Christmas. It was the most thoughtful and I just adore them!

Caroline – Spring of 2020, my Jamaican wedding was postponed due to the pandemic so one of my close friends sent us a “rum punch” kit. It had cute glasses, a recipe card, and all the ingredients to make the rum punch our wedding location was famous for. It was so thoughtful!

Word of advice to someone wanting to start their own business?

If we could only choose one word, then we would choose RESILIENCE.

Go-to gift from your business?

We love our Taste of Baja Vases – they are fun, funky, and chic. Voilà Casamia!
