Afloat: Which company do you work for?
HS: West Village Realty – My mom, sister, & I co-own the brokerage.
Afloat: What do you love about being a realtor? How did you get into the business?
HS: My favorite part of being a realtor is hand-holding people through one of the most stressful times in their lives with confidence. I love navigating the process with them and guiding them to make a successful financial decision, truly this brings me so much joy! I love marketing properties in creative ways, too! I grew up with my mom being a real estate agent and said I would never do it! Haha. I ended up graduating college and quickly realized I wanted to join her. I joined my mom and sister’s team at the time and we’ve been growing ever since. We now have a team of 7 agents and we all love what we do! It was meant to be!
Afloat: What’s your favorite way to celebrate your clients?
HS: I LOVE celebrating my clients when they share something they’re excited about. Whether it’s an engagement, baby, new job – I love sending my clients a gift on their doorstep that shows them I’m thinking about them and celebrating with them! I always get to celebrate people during one of the most exciting times of their lives (buying a home!) so when they share other moments, it just feels right to send them a gift! I always miss my clients because we spend months together non-stop and checking in on them is so much fun.
