The Kansas City Zoo is one of our favorite spots for the whole family. Open year-round with free parking, a trip to the zoo is a must during the last weeks of summer.
Voted one of America’s best zoos, and ranked number 1 in the nation for African Animals Exhibits, the Kansas City Zoo has something for everyone. afloat’s Head of Product has a 3-year-old whose favorite zoo activity is watching the construction of the new aquarium opening in 2023.
Upcoming events include the Run For The Sharks on September 17, 2022. This 4-mile and 1-mile family fun run supports the Kansas City Zoo’s Conservation efforts. Participants receive custom-designed shark t-shirts and finisher’s medals as well as free entry into the zoo.
